I will categorise nokia phones into two.
1. SYMBIAN
2. JAVA
If you are using nokia phone such as NOKIA E-Series, N-series, BB5 NOKIA ,3230,6630,6600,etc they are all regarded as symbian nokia phones,
While java nokia phones
are 3110c, 6230,6230c,2700 etc
all these are lower version of nokia phones and are regarded as JAVA NOKIA PHONES.
How to configure your simbian phones
Download cast opera 5.2

You can Google it as follows
copy it and paste it in your phone if your downloading it from a computer or download it from your phone directly.
After installing the opera mini in your symbian phone open the opera mini,
Then this is the configuration
on custom http server, put or write: http://64.255.164.21 Or http://64.255.180.192 OR http://64.255.164.20/21 OR http://64.255.164.20
Scroll down to where you will see host, then write:
www.mtnonline .com
i.e. all for the configuration of symbian phones just click ok and wait for it to load and start browsing
use the mtn default access point,
you can send ( settings to 3888) to get the default mtn settings if you formatted your phone or if you don’t have it. NOTE: the above settings don’t just work for only symbian nokia u can also use it for any other mobile phone like Sony Ericson etc.
CONFIGURING JAVA PHONES
For you to configure your java phones for free browsing, Download the cast
opera 5.2 , Here is the download link
Paste in your phone.
You also need mtn prov file which is for java phones, Here is the download link for the mtn prov file
NOTE: you can also create the prov file yourself visit www.myprov.co.cc
Also copy and paste the prov file in your phone.
NOTE: you will make the mtn prov file you transferred in your phone to default, to make it default,
`1.From your phone click on menu
2. Click on settings
3. Click on configuration
4. Select default configuration settings
5. Choose the mtn prov file
6. Click on option
6. Select default
That’s all.
CONFIGURATION OF THE OPERA MINI ON JAVA PHONES:
Open the cast opera mini and use these settings

Use preferred access point: No
Define access point settings: ok
Access point settings:
Proxy: Enable
Proxy address: 172.18.254.5
Proxy port: 8080
Bearer settings: packet data access point: wap.ng.airtel.com
Network type: ipv4
Authentication type: Normal
Username: wap
Password: wap
- Press {back} three times
- In {personal accounts} choose the name of the profile : wap, press [option] and select [Activate].
The new profile is saved and activated.
FOR AIRTEL NETWORK [Access settings]

3. Press option add new {web}
4. Enter the following:
Account name: Access
Homepage: internet.ng.airtel.com
Username: internet
Password: internet
Use preferred access point: No
Define access point settings: ok
Access point settings:
Proxy: Enable
Proxy address: 172.18.254.5
Proxy port: 8080
Bearer settings: packet data access point: internet.ng.airtel.com
Network type: ipv4
Authentication type: Normal
Username: internet
Password: internet
- Press {back} three times
- In {personal accounts} choose the name of the profile : Access, press [option] and select [Activate].
The new profile is saved and activated.
To browse: from your phone click on menu and select WEB and wait for it to load
FOR MTN NETWORK
Follow the same steps below, the configuration is as follows
1. Press menu and select settings
2. In settings select configuration then personal configuration setting
3. Press option add new {web}
4. Enter the following:
Account name: Access
Homepage: www.google.com/gwt/n?
Username: web
Password: web
Use preferred access point: No
Define access point settings: ok
Access point settings:
Proxy: Enable
Proxy address: 10.199.212.2
Proxy port: 8080
Bearer settings: packet data access point: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Network type: ipv4
Authentication type: Normal
Username: web
Password: web
- Press {back} three times
- In {personal accounts} choose the name of the profile : Access, press [option] and select [Activate].
The new profile is saved and activated.
To browse: from your phone click on menu and select WEB and wait for it to load
